Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) is a system that allows an operator at a master facility to monitor and control
processes that are distributed among various remote sites.
A properly designed SCADA system saves time and money by eliminating the need for service personnel to visit each site for
inspection, data collection/logging or make adjustments. Real-time monitoring, system modifications, troubleshooting, increased
equipment life, automatic report generating . . . these are just a few of the benefits that come with today’s SCADA system.
|
Other benefits SCADA Systems provide:
• Reduces operational costs
• Improves system efficiency and performance
• Reduces costly repairs
• Frees up personnel for other important tasks
|
|
• Provides immediate knowledge of system performance
• Increases equipment life
• Reduces number of man-hours (labor costs) required for troubleshooting or service
• Facilitates compliance with regulatory agencies through automated report generating

Motorola MOSCAD-L
MOSCAD-L is the mid-size member of Motorola's MOSCAD family. It provides the popular features in MOSCAD, in a smaller and leaner
package, making it an ideal fixed data product in locations where space is limited.
MOSCAD-L provides the features of both a Remoter Terminal Unit (RTU) and a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). If the application loaded
into the CPU is simple, then MOSCAD-L functions as an RTU; if the application implements a decision-making code, then MOSCAD-L functions as a PLC.
Other features of the MOSCAD-L include:
• Diverse Connectivity
• Motorola Data Link Communication (MDLC) Protocol

Zetron Wireless SCADA Systems
From the cold of Siberia to the heat, salt and moisture of offshore oil platforms, Zetron’s SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data) systems
are proven performers in a wide variety of industries and applications. Day and night, Zetron wireless SCADA systems reliably perform
such vital tasks as:
• Closed loop process control
• Equipment monitoring
• Malfunction detection and correction
• Maintenance record logging
Modern technology has allowed the evolution of SCADA to include greater data accuracy, complex analysis, automatic intelligent control,
sophisticated data manipulation, and tighter security. As communities grow, as coverage areas expand, and as operations become more
complex, the need to enhance existing SCADA systems or to install new systems is inevitable.
